Higher is better. Each chart scales to the higher of the two comparable scores. The percentage is the higher score divided by the lower score, minus one. Differences of 5% or less are labelled similar.
These are published CPU reference scores, not tests of these specific laptops or seller units. Cooling, power limits, memory, and software affect actual performance. CPU scores do not measure battery life, graphics performance, or gaming frame rates.

Which one should you choose?
Laptizo ratings are our editorial buying scores for the listed configurations, based on value, specifications, and seller terms.
The Latitude 5420 is our value pick for buyers who want an 11th Gen Core i5 business laptop at the lowest recorded purchase price. Iqra Traders quotes a used 8GB / 256GB unit at Rs. 51,000 with a 60-day checking warranty. TeleX's EliteBook 840 G8 Core i5 base listing also has 8GB RAM and a 256GB SSD, but costs Rs. 89,999, a Rs. 38,999 premium. TeleX offers a longer stated checking period of six months and exact configuration quotes: 16GB / 256GB is Rs. 97,999 and 16GB / 512GB is Rs. 108,999. Choose the Dell if price is the main constraint, or the HP if its seller cover, configuration choices, and the condition of the actual unit justify that extra cost. Both are 14-inch Tiger Lake business platforms; paying more for the HP does not by itself establish faster CPU performance or a better screen. The HP seller does not identify the exact i5 SKU or display resolution, so the benchmark section previews a supported reference CPU. Select Core i7 in the configuration tabs to update the HP's price and buying advice here; changing a benchmark reference alone does not change the priced listing.

| Category | HP HP EliteBook 840 G8 – Core i5 | Dell Dell Latitude 5420 |
|---|---|---|
| Price & Value | Rs. 89,999 for TeleX's used 11th Gen Core i5 / 8GB / 256GB base offer, including a recorded six-month checking warranty. | Rs. 51,000 for Iqra Traders' used 11th Gen Core i5 / 8GB / 256GB base offer. Saves Rs. 38,999 with the same quoted RAM and SSD capacities.Better |
| Installed Memory | 8GB DDR4 at the base price. TeleX's 16GB / 256GB option costs Rs. 97,999; it is an explicit seller configuration with its own quote. | 8GB DDR4 at the base price as well. The model supports removable memory, but an upgraded seller unit requires a separate quote; calculator estimates are not recorded offers. |
| Storage & Quoted Options | 256GB SSD in the base offer. TeleX quotes 8GB / 512GB at Rs. 97,999 and 16GB / 512GB at Rs. 108,999, with purchase links for each combination. | 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD in the recorded base offer. Larger SSD choices in the calculator need confirmation and pricing from the retailer. |
| Display | TeleX specifies 14 inches but does not establish the exact panel resolution, brightness, or touch capability. Inspect the unit rather than assuming the model's optional bright or privacy panel is fitted. | The catalogue specifies a 14-inch FHD display at 1920x1080. Iqra Traders publishes a headline configuration, so confirm the fitted panel and its condition. |
| Build & Portability | A 14-inch EliteBook with a catalogue starting weight of 1.32 kg. Fitted options and the actual used unit's condition should guide a purchase decision. | Dell lists a configuration-dependent maximum of 1.37 kg. This is close to the HP's nominal starting figure and is not an equivalent measurement, so neither has a meaningful proven weight advantage. |
| Connectivity & Docking | HP QuickSpecs documents two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, and HDMI for the 840 G8 platform. The seller does not enumerate the unit's ports or wireless card, so check them before buying. | The catalogue includes Thunderbolt 4, USB-A, HDMI, and Wi-Fi 6. Both platforms support modern office docking; the higher HP base price does not establish a newer connectivity generation. |
| Battery & Condition | Used condition with an estimated 4-8 hours of light use. The seller does not supply an individual battery-health measurement. | Used condition with an up-to-12-hour catalogue runtime claim. That claim is not a measurement of Iqra Traders' used unit and cannot be ranked against the HP estimate; request battery reports for both. |
| Checking Warranty | TeleX records six months of checking cover, a longer stated period than the Dell offer. Review exclusions and the repair or replacement process; it is separate from the seller's return window.Better | Iqra Traders records a 60-day checking warranty on the Rs. 51,000 unit. Its lower purchase price is paired with a shorter stated checking period; confirm the actual coverage terms. |
